8 December is Take it in the Ear Day. As a piercing studio, we're happy to take it seriously. Well, as seriously as possible.
Sorry, but we simply couldn't skip this day
We spotted it in the calendar:
Take it in the Ear Day.
We have no idea who came up with this day.
But as a piercing studio, we feel a certain professional responsibility to take it seriously.
Well.
As seriously as possible.
Because ears have become quite a big part of our lives.
Helix.
Conch.
Tragus.
Rook.
Daith.
Flat.
Forward helix.
Industrial.
And of course our favourite brief:
“I want something here.”
Where?
“Here.”
Points at the entire ear.
Then our work begins.
Because an ear isn't a pinboard where you randomly pin jewellery.
Not every anatomy can have every piercing.
And if you want several piercings, we also look at how they'll work together later.
Sometimes good design means we say:
“One here.”
“One there.”
And sometimes:
“Absolutely nothing there.”
So in honour of Take it in the Ear Day:
fine.
But if you're getting something put in your ear, let's at least pretend there's a plan behind it.

Frequently asked questions
Can every ear have every piercing?
Not every anatomy can have every piercing. In the studio we look at your ear and at what fits there.
I want several ear piercings. How do I plan that?
With several piercings we also look at how they'll work together later. Sometimes that means: one here, one there and absolutely nothing in certain spots.
Do I need an appointment?
No, walk-ins are welcome, every day until 22:00. Prefer a fixed time? You can book your appointment.
