Piercing FAQs: Travel, Work & Everyday Life
1. Can I fly with a new piercing?
Yes. Piercings don't cause issues at airports. However, keep in mind that air pressure and cabin dryness may affect healing. Bring your aftercare products in your carry-on.
2. Will my piercing set off the security metal detector?
No. Most piercings are too small to trigger detection. If you're unsure, you can wear a non-metal retainer.
3. Are piercings allowed at work?
That depends on the industry. In creative fields, it's usually fine. In medical or corporate settings, visible piercings may be restricted — check your company’s policy.
4. What if I wear a helmet, earplugs or headphones?
Avoid pressure on fresh piercings. Use soft covers or opt for a helmet with an open design. Ask us for advice on which piercing suits your lifestyle best.
5. How do I protect my piercing on vacation or during outdoor activities?
Wear loose clothing, apply sun protection around (but not directly on) your piercing, and always carry a small aftercare kit. Avoid swimming in natural water for the first 4–6 weeks.
